Monster Numbers: Subtraction Practice

This monster-number subtraction worksheet has 6 equations to complete. The illustrated numerals show the numbers to use; read their numerical values even though they are drawn as playful characters. Take the second amount away from the first and write what remains.

The first row uses 9 and 3. Taking 3 away from 9 leaves 6. Use the first amount as the starting group and remove the second amount from it. Point to the relevant numbers or groups as you explain the example.
