Five Senses Matching Worksheet

The five senses matching worksheet helps preschool children connect seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting, and touching with the body parts used for each sense. The page gives a clear, age-friendly way to practice human body and senses vocabulary during a short science activity.

At age 4, many children can name body parts, but children may mix up which sense goes with which body part. Five-year-olds get bored fast, and four-year-olds do too, so a simple matching page can keep the focus on one small science idea without a long lesson.

A parent or teacher can sit beside the child, name one picture at a time, and ask, “Which body part helps us notice that?” After the child makes a match, invite the child to point to the matching body part on the face or hand and give a real-life example, such as smelling soap or hearing a doorbell.

The worksheet is useful because the page keeps the task concrete and screen-free. Instead of only memorizing sense words, the child talks, points, matches, and connects each sense to everyday experiences, which makes the human body lesson feel familiar and easy to repeat.
