To make its sound, you do something very simple and calming: you close your lips gently and hum, making a 'mmm' sound. It's the sound you make when you taste something delicious, like yummy macaroni! To go in a specified direction or manner; to change position. Our bodies are made to move! We can move slowly like a snail or quickly like a cheetah. Moving our bodies through play and dance is a joyful part of being healthy.

To come into the presence or company of someone. You can meet a new friend at the park or meet your family for dinner. It’s the wonderful moment when you come together with someone you know or are just getting to know.

Mix
To combine two or more substances so that they are thoroughly combined. When you mix yellow and blue paint, you get green! Mixing is a fun science experiment that shows how different things can come together to create something entirely new.

Melt
To make or become liquid by heat. An ice cube will melt in the sun, and cheese will melt on a warm pizza. It’s a fascinating transformation from a solid to a liquid that we can observe in our own kitchen.

Marble Painting Masterpiece

This is a magical process art activity that is fascinating to watch and creates beautiful, unique results. It's a wonderful way to learn about motion and color mixing. You'll need a shallow box or a baking tray, a piece of paper that fits inside, a few drops of different colored paint, and a few marbles. Place the paper in the box, add a few small drops of paint onto the paper, and then drop in the marbles. Now for the fun part! Tilt the box back and forth, side to side, and watch as the marbles roll through the paint, creating a magnificent network of colorful tracks. This activity is great for developing fine motor control and an intuitive understanding of cause and effect. The result is always a surprise!

Mighty Mountain of Pillows

This is a fantastic gross motor and sensory activity that is perfect for a rainy day when you have extra energy to burn. It connects the letter 'M' to a mighty, imaginative landscape. Gather all the pillows, cushions, and soft blankets you can find. Pile them up in the middle of the room to create a giant, soft 'mountain'. The goal is to explore this new mountain! You can practice climbing up its soft slopes and safely rolling or jumping down into a designated 'crash pad' area.
