This category matching picture puzzle worksheet has four visual logic puzzles. Each puzzle asks a preschooler to match one large picture with one of four smaller pictures from the same group or with a shared use, building category matching and simple reasoning.
At age five, children often know many objects but can get stuck explaining why two pictures belong together. That little stall is normal, and category practice helps a child sort by use, group, and meaning before harder reading and math tasks arrive.
Sit beside your child and name the large picture first. Ask which small picture goes with the big picture, and after your child points, invite one short reason such as both are foods, both are tools, or people use both at school.
