Feet Measurement Addition Worksheet
The feet measurement addition worksheet gives first graders four picture-supported addition problems measured in feet. The child reads each saved quantity, adds the feet, and writes a total with the ft. unit.
At age seven, many kids can count on but stall when a number has a unit attached. Practice with feet helps first graders see that three feet plus two feet means a longer total measurement, not just two loose numbers.
Sit beside your child with a pencil and ask your child to point to the picture for each problem before writing an answer. Then have your child say the full number sentence out loud, including the word feet, so the unit stays part of the math.
The pictured measuring tools are models, not life-size measuring tools, so the focus stays on reading and combining quantities in feet. The page keeps the work short, with four problems, and the matched pictures give children a concrete place to look when plain number sentences feel too abstract.
