Ice Cream Scoops Count and Color Worksheet

Count and Color the Scoops is a one-page preschool math worksheet with an ice cream shop scene. Children count the dots on each scoop, match the number to the color key, and color the scoop to practice counting and number sense.

At age four, many children can say the count words, but keeping one touch for one dot can get wobbly. The color key gives a clear reason to count carefully, so the child sees how numbers help make choices.

Sit beside your child with crayons and point to the first scoop together. Ask your child to touch each dot, say each number aloud, find the matching number on the color key, and color that scoop before moving to the next scoop. After the scoops are colored, invite your child to choose any colors for the cones and the shop, just as the prompt says.

The ice cream scoops make counting feel playful, and every counted set leads to a color choice. The page gives quick feedback without needing a separate answer check. The open-ended cones and shop leave room for fine-motor coloring and a little pretend play after the counting work.
