Pint Measurement Subtraction Worksheet
This printable kindergarten math worksheet gives children four subtraction problems using pint measurements, written as pt. Each problem pairs the number sentence with an illustrated measuring model, so children practice subtracting quantities in pints and comparing what changes.
At age 6, many children are ready to move beyond counting objects, but measurement units can make simple subtraction feel new again. Kids may know how to take away numbers, then stall when a unit like pt. appears beside the answer space.
A parent or teacher can sit beside the child and read each problem aloud: start amount, amount taken away, and amount left. Ask the child to point to the matching picture, say the unit name, and write the answer with pt. after solving the subtraction.
The worksheet is useful because the pictures match the saved quantities without pretending to be real tools. The rulers, scales, or measuring containers are math models, not life-size measuring tools, so children can focus on the subtraction and the unit label together.
