Pound Measurement Addition Worksheet
The Pound Measurement Addition Worksheet gives six-year-olds one printable page with four addition problems written in lb. Children look at the matching pictures of rulers, scales, or measuring containers, add the shown quantities, and write the total pounds.
At age six, children may count well but stall when a number has a unit beside the number. Practicing pounds helps kindergarten learners see that two lb and three lb name measured amounts, not just plain numbers.
Sit next to your child and read the first problem aloud. Ask your child to point to each pictured amount, say the pound amounts in order, add the numbers, and circle or say which total is larger when two answers are compared.
