The Count and Draw Circles Worksheet is a kindergarten math page for practicing counting and number sense. Children count one group of circles, then draw two new groups of circles to match the requested numbers, with each drawing staying at 10 circles or fewer.
At age 5, many children can say the number words but still skip objects, double-count circles, or stop before the full group is finished. Drawing each circle gives children a slower way to connect a number word, a written number, and a real quantity on the page.
A parent or teacher can sit beside the child and start with the first group. Ask the child to touch each circle while counting aloud, then invite the child to draw the requested number of circles in the next spaces. After each drawing, ask the child to count the new circle group again and fix any missing or extra circles.
