Some or Any Grammar Worksheet
The Some or Any Grammar Worksheet is a short first grade reading and writing page for choosing between some and any in simple sentences. The page uses a small word bank, picture clues, and four sentence rows about apples, books, milk, and crayons.
At age six, many children read slowly enough that grammar choices can feel like one more thing to juggle. A child may know the sentence sounds right during conversation, then stall when the blank line asks for a choice on paper.
Sit beside the child and read the word bank together first. Then point to each picture, read the sentence aloud, and ask, “Does the sentence tell about having something, or not having something?” After the four blanks, use the final prompt to have the child say one sentence about something nearby.
The worksheet keeps the practice focused, with only four rows and two choices, so a young learner can finish without getting buried in directions. The pictures support meaning, while the repeated sentence pattern helps the child notice how positive and negative sentences change the word choice.
