Count Each Picture Group: Early Number Sense

If counting practice has been turning into guessing, you are not alone. Young kids often skip a picture, count the same one twice, or shout a favorite number just to be done. Start with this one-page counting sheet and make the job simple: count one group, then name the total.

On the page, children look at several separate picture groups. For each group, they count every object one time, use a finger or crayon to keep their place, and record the total in the answer space.
