Read Number Names and Match Numerals to 10

It can be frustrating when a child can count aloud but freezes when that same number shows up as a word. Many kids know the chant before they can connect a written number name to a numeral and a real quantity. This printable gives that connection a calm, pencil-and-paper place to grow.

On the page, children work through six tidy rows. In each row, they read a number word, look at the matching numeral, and choose the correct numeral from a small set of answer choices. A bonus prompt asks them to read a number word and draw that many dots, adding a simple show-what-you-know step.

Use it as a short table activity, math center page, or homeschool warm-up. First, invite your child to point to the word and say it aloud. Then have them circle or mark the matching numeral and count slowly as they draw the dots, touching each dot once to check their work.
