Library Character Maze Adventure Worksheet

The Library Character Maze Adventure Worksheet is a printable maze page for kindergarten and grade 1 children. Children follow connected paths from a named library character to a pictured goal across circular space, triangular castle, and honeycomb garden scenes, practicing visual tracking and problem solving.

At age five, maze work helps children slow down, look ahead, and make a plan before drawing. Five-year-olds often get excited and skip ahead, then feel frustrated when a path stops. A simple maze gives children a safe place to back up, try another route, and keep going.

Sit beside your child and read the character name and destination together before any pencil marks begin. Ask your child to point along the path first, then trace the chosen route with a finger, and then draw the line with a crayon or pencil. When a dead end appears, say, “Let’s go back to the last turn,” and help your child choose another path.
