Maze Problem Solving Worksheet

The Maze Problem Solving Worksheet is a printable page for kindergarten learners who are practicing mazes and problem solving. The worksheet asks a child to look ahead, follow a path, notice dead ends, and choose a better route from start to finish.

At age five, children are still learning how to slow down long enough to think before moving a pencil. Five-year-olds get bored fast when a puzzle feels too hard, so a clear maze gives just enough challenge without turning problem solving into a long lesson.

Sit beside your child and ask your child to trace the route with a finger before using a crayon or pencil. At each turn, pause and ask, “Which path keeps going?” If a dead end appears, invite your child to back up and try a different way.

The worksheet is useful because the maze keeps the task focused on planning, checking, and trying again. A generic printable may only fill a few quiet minutes, while this page gives a parent or teacher simple talking points for shared, screen-free practice.
