Vocabulary Number Writing with Pictures
This worksheet practices vocabulary numbering for preschoolers by having a child either write a picture number next to a word or write the matching picture word next to a number.
At age 3, kids often get stuck when letter writing feels hard, or they lose interest quickly. The pictures lower the pressure, so the focus stays on matching and saying the word while the child does just a little writing.
Try this with the exact page: do the first 5 rows where the child writes the picture number beside each word, then do the next 5 rows where the child writes the matching word beside each number. For each row, point to the picture, say the word together, and let the child fill in the matching answer.
What makes this page different from a generic number worksheet is the flip between word-to-number and number-to-word in one go. Picture cues keep the task clear, and the mixed rows give quick chances to get it right, without needing a big lesson from you.
