Vocabulary Numbering Picture Words Worksheet
This worksheet practices vocabulary numbering for kindergarten. Children write picture numbers next to words on 5 rows, and write the matching word next to a number on 5 rows using the picture and word columns as clues.
This skill matters at age 6 because kids are building both number sense and word recognition at the same time. It is also common for kids to mix up the order when a page feels like it has “too much reading,” so the pictures help keep the task moving.
Use the page as a short shared routine. Choose one row, point to the number or the word, and ask, “Which picture matches this?” After that first row, let your child complete 2 or 3 rows while an adult checks the match with quick pointing only.
The worksheet stays engaging because it flips the job. Some rows ask for picture numbers, and other rows ask for picture words, so children practice the same vocabulary idea from two directions instead of doing one repeated type of task.
