Feet Measurement Addition Worksheet

Measurement pages can trip kids up because they see a picture and want to measure it for real. On this page, the illustrations are models, not life-size tools, so the job is to read each saved amount in ft, add the feet amounts, and write the total for four problems.

This page fits a kindergartener who can read numerals and is starting to connect measurement numbers with units. If feet is still new, say it out loud first: “ft means feet.” That quick check helps keep the unit from becoming an afterthought.

Sit nearby and have them point to the two amounts before adding. Ask, “What unit do you see?” Since the amounts are both in ft, the answer should be in ft too. If they rush, cover one problem at a time with a blank paper so the page feels smaller and calmer.

After this page, stay with feet and change the operation with feet measurement subtraction practice, which gives more same-unit work in a familiar format. For a different kind of measurement talk, pint measurement comparison lets you practice more, less, and equal language with liquid amounts.
