Easy Honeycomb Maze with Picture Counting

This honeycomb maze asks children to help the rabbit reach the carrot. Find the two pictures together before beginning, then follow connected openings through the honeycomb garden maze. The page also includes a picture hunt with three kinds of scene decorations to count. Choose this page when your child is ready to pause at turns and compare possible routes.

Begin with a finger so a route can be tested before adding pencil marks. Look ahead to see whether an opening continues or reaches a dead end. If the path closes, return to the last choice point and try a different opening. The easier layout is a useful place to practice this checking routine together. Encourage a deliberate change of plan when the first route does not work.

After the maze, use the three picture prompts in the counting section. Find each matching decoration in the scene, point to it once, and record the total in its answer space. Count one kind at a time to avoid mixing groups. An adult can help track which pictures have been counted while the child says the numbers, then support writing the final total.

Explore the Maze Adventures Pack for another layout or difficulty. The Picture Sorting and Logic Pack offers a different comparison task between maze sessions. Stop at a useful point if pencil control or interest fades, and return later with a fresh look. On a second attempt, ask your child to explain one decision that helped rather than simply trying to finish faster.
