Milliliter Addition Measurement Worksheet

Kids often understand “more” and “less” in real life, then stall when a number has a unit attached to it. This page keeps the job short and clear. It has four milliliter addition problems, each paired with an illustrated measurement model that matches the saved quantities. The pictures are there to support the math, not to act as life-size measuring tools.

This is a good fit when a six-year-old can read or copy numerals, try simple addition, and notice that ml belongs with liquid measure. Sit close, read the first problem aloud, and have your child point to each amount before adding. If the unit label gets skipped, gently say, “What are we measuring?” and let them add ml to the answer.

The practice is simple on purpose. Children read the given milliliter amounts, combine like units, and write a total that still uses ml. That repeated pattern helps them see that measurement addition works like number addition, with the unit carried along. If you want another page with the same adding idea in a different measurement unit, the pound addition measurement worksheet gives extra practice with totals and unit labels.

Keep the pace light. Four problems are enough for one sitting, especially when a child is still learning to track numbers, pictures, and labels together. After this page, you can shift from adding measurements to comparing them with the kilogram comparison worksheet, which helps children practice deciding which measurement is larger or smaller. For reuse, cover the answers, talk through the steps again, or ask your child to explain how they found one total.
