Feet comparison problems → compare saved quantities → records which measurement is greater, smaller, or equal for each item.

Picture measurement models → connect visuals to numbers → uses the shown quantities as clues without treating pictures as real tools.

Written measurement answers → read numbers with ft → writes a clear comparison response for each of the four problems.

Feet Comparison Worksheet

Seven-year-olds often understand “bigger” and “smaller” in everyday talk, then stall when the numbers come with a unit like feet. This page keeps the task focused: read each saved quantity in ft, look at the matching picture model, and write the comparison answer for each of the four problems.

The illustrated rulers, scales, or measuring containers are there to support thinking, not to act as life-size measuring tools. That matters because the goal is comparison, not using the printed picture to measure a real object. If your child is ready to read simple numbers and notice the unit ft, this is a good short practice page to do together at the table.

As your child works, invite them to say both measurements out loud before choosing an answer. Ask, “Which number is larger?” or “Are these the same amount?” Then have them point to the numbers and write the comparison. For a related measurement comparison in a different unit, try the milliliters comparison worksheet next, since it keeps the same compare-and-decide thinking while changing the unit.

If the page feels easy, use it as a quick confidence builder and move on. If it feels tricky, cover all but one problem and talk through the first answer together before handing over the pencil. After comparing feet, a next step could be adding measured quantities, and the kilograms addition worksheet gives another way to practice reading units while doing a different math action.
