Which numbers are traced?

The tracing column covers 1 through 10. Each row includes a picture group corresponding to the written number.

In the count-and-color panel, color the number that matches the counted pictures. The tracing rows are for pencil practice.

Does 10 count as one digit?

No. Ten is written with two digits, 1 and 0. Help the child place them next to each other in the correct order.

How should we use the arrow models?

Look at the starting point and direction before tracing. An adult can model the movement once, then let the child try at a comfortable pace.

How much should we complete at once?

A few rows can be enough for one session. Return to unfinished sections later, especially when the child’s hand needs a break.

Begin with one tracing row and count its pictures together. Look at the numeral’s starting point and direction before following the dotted model with a pencil. The number 10 uses two digits, 1 and 0, written next to each other. Let the child pause between attempts and compare a traced number with the printed model instead of rushing to finish the entire column.

In the count-and-color panel, the first group contains 8 pictures. Count each picture once, then color the matching number among the choices. Use the arrow models for another look at number formation when needed. For a number sequence, count forward by one through the visible values, write the missing number, and read the completed sequence aloud to check the order.
