Numbers 1, 3, and 4 Number Cards Worksheet

The preschool number cards worksheet gives a three-year-old a small set of numerals to read with an adult: 3, 1, and 4. The page practices number recognition, saying number names, and noticing that each printed symbol stands for a number word.

At age three, number shapes can feel slippery. A child may point to every numeral and guess the same number name, so a short page with only three cards can make practice feel calmer and easier to finish.

Sit side by side and read the number cards together. Point to 3, say three, invite the child to echo the word, then do the same with 1 and 4. After one read-through, ask the child to find one number card you name.

Unlike a busy 1 to 5 chart, the worksheet uses a selected number set of 3, 1, and 4. The limited set helps a parent or teacher hear which number names are familiar, which number shapes need another look, and when the child is ready to stop.
