Numbers 3, 2, and 5 Reading Cards Worksheet

Five-year-olds can get bored fast when number practice feels like a whole wall of symbols. This page keeps it simple with three number cards: 3, 2, and 5, shown with their number names, three, two, and five. Sit together and read each card out loud, one at a time.

This is a good fit when a preschooler is beginning to connect spoken number names with printed numerals. It is not a full one to five chart, and that is part of the point. A small mixed set gives you room to slow down, repeat, and notice which cards are familiar.

Point to a card and say, “This says three,” then invite your child to read it with you. If a card is tricky, read it first and let them echo it. Keep the pace light. A quick pass through 3, 2, and 5 is enough for one sitting, and you can come back later for another read.

For a next step, use Count and Draw Circles Worksheet to connect a read number with making a counted group. If the number words are catching your child’s interest, Five, Four, Three Number Words Matching Worksheet gives extra practice with reading number words in a matching format.
