Tens and Ones Number Cards Worksheet

The Tens and Ones Number Cards Worksheet is a one-page Grade 1 math printable that practices place value with the numbers 18, 15, 10, and 12. Children look at each number card and write how many tens and how many ones make that number.

At age 7, many children can say teen numbers quickly, but the number meaning can still feel slippery. A child may read 18 correctly and still forget that 18 means 1 ten and 8 ones, so the worksheet slows the thinking down in a simple, hands-on way.

Use the page beside a small pile of crayons, buttons, or base-ten sticks. Ask the child to build 18 first, circle one group of ten, count the leftover ones, and then fill in the matching writing fields before moving to 15, 10, and 12.

The Tens and Ones Number Cards Worksheet keeps the focus tight instead of crowding the page with too many problems. Clear models and writing fields help children connect the spoken number, the written number, and the tens and ones parts on one calm, screen-free page.
