Two, Four, and Five Number Cards Worksheet

Kids can rattle off counting words and still pause when a printed number is sitting on the page. This preschool math worksheet keeps the job clear and short. You and your child read a selected set of number cards together: two, four, and five.

This is a good fit when a child is beginning to connect number names with printed numerals. The page does not ask for a full one through five chart. It gives three specific numbers, so you can slow down, point, say the name, and give time to look closely.

Sit side by side and read one card at a time. You might say, “This is four,” then invite your child to say “four” with you. If guessing starts, keep it easy. Point back to the card, name it again, and move on before the practice turns into a battle.

When these cards feel familiar, choose another short number-sense page rather than making this one longer. The Next Number to Five Worksheet helps practice what number comes next within five. The Animal Counting Number Choice Worksheet adds a counting choice activity when your child is ready to connect quantities with number answers.
